Install WhatsApp to your Amazon Fire Phone

The Amazon Fire Phone uses it’s own marketplace. Many apps from the Google Play store are not available in the Amazon Marketplace. Fortunately, Amazon has given us the ability to sideload, or manually install, any Android app to our Fire Phones. Follow the tutorial to install WhatsApp to your phone.

Enable ‘App Installation’

• Go to Settings (Swipe down from the top and click on the gears icon)
• Press ‘Applications & Parental Controls’ and then press ‘Allow non-Amazon app installation’
• Enable ‘App Installation’

Download WhatsApp

• Open ‘Silk Browser’ and download the WhatsApp APK file here: WhatsApp APK file download

Install WhatsApp

• Swipe right from the left side of the screen and go to ‘Downloads’
• Open the downloaded file to install.
