Install Google Maps to your Amazon Fire Phone
The Amazon Appstore offers a great amount of apps, however it is missing some noteworthy one’s including anything Google, like Google Chrome, Maps, Drive, Gmail, and even YouTube. If you prefer using Google Maps over the Amazon Maps, then follow the tutorial to sideload Google Maps onto your phone.
Enable ‘App Installation’
- Go to Settings (Swipe down from the top and click on the gears icon)
- Press ‘Applications & Parental Controls’ and then press ‘Allow non-Amazon app installation’
- Enable ‘App Installation’
Download Google Maps
- Open ‘Silk Browser’ and download the Google Maps APK file here: Google Maps APK file download
Install Google Maps
- Swipe right from the left side of the screen and go to ‘Downloads’
- Open the downloaded file to install.
